November Favourites

Podcasts – Gary Vee

Guys. I honestly don’t know how I have never listened to Gary before. FYI, he’s a little intense and has a massive ego, but he talks about some really real stuff. There was a great debate on a recent episode about someone asking if social media was ruining their kids lives. The answers he gave were so honest and probably pissed some people listening off, but since I love that kind of stuff, it was perfection. He posts a lot of content, but most are really short (less than 15 minutes) so they are quick snaps of motivation and thought provoking content.

Beauty – Glam Glow

Full disclosure – This product was not something I paid full price for. I subscribe to Topbox as I mentioned in a previous post and every once in awhile, they will offer a $10 beauty surprise option add on. This was my first time trying it out as I never get to the email fast enough and they are sold out. So I finally made it to this one  in time and ended up getting this Glam Glow Moisturizer. OMG. It’s called Water Burst and literally smells like starburst and is this pretty blue colour.

Glam Glow Moisturizer

Plus, it’s a full size product, not just a sample or mini version. I officially been using it for about 3 weeks now and can honestly say I have noticed a difference. Over the years, I have tried so many different moisturizers since my face is super sensitive. I get dry around the edges of my face but greasy in my T-Zone. So, finding a moisturizer that hydrates the outer edges as well as doesn’t give too much hydration to the middle has been something of a challenge over the years.

Every time I try a new product, or eat a certain food, my face tends to break out. Until, this product that is. It also seems to actually give my face a glow, which since I’m a natural skeptic,I didn’t think this was even possible. I thought it was just a gimmicky name. But, this product works. Plus, I am not sponsored by any products or anything so this is my honest feedback. I don’t know what I am going to do when it runs out because when I looked at the regular price, it comes out at $62 before tax.I love this product but don’t think I can bring myself to pay that price. My inner core will just not allow it. So, Christmas gift ideas anyone?

Food – Dates

So, when I think of the food dates, I always thought about raisins. I think of some dried out fruit that has a funny taste. I, also tried figs and prunes this month and I think that is actually what I thought dates tasted like. I was so wrong. Dates are honestly amazing and I urge everyone to try them. They are not as bad as I thought they would be and taste more like a candy.

Now, I understand why so many people put them in recipes instead of sugar. When blended, they could pass as a natural sugar. Now, I don’t recommend having these close to bedtime as you would with any sugar, natural or not. But as a morning snack, yes please. Since they are a natural sugar, like a fruit, you can swap out those chocolates and candy snacks for dates. This way you add in natural sugar as well as some fiber so you can eat these guilt free.

YouTube – Kale & Krunches

I have been following this pretty lady on Instagram for a while now and she is hilarious. Marlie is recently pregnant and while I thought that I wouldn’t find her content interesting any more, I found quite the opposite. She recently posted a video called “5 things no one tells you about pregnancy” They talk about the stuff no one else is talking about and the weird symptoms that come along. She also has great workouts, food tips and all around adds some humour into your life. Plus since she lives in Toronto, she goes to some great places that are within the GTA that I have been meaning to check out on my next trip downtown.

Shopping

Premier Gift Fall Warehouse Sale. So, this one is only on until November 15th, but seriously is my new favourite Christmas place. They have everything from household items, food, seasonal décor, planners, and so much more. It’s chic, modern and gorgeous. Plus, their prices aren’t astronomical. When I went, they had a 50% off of all Christmas products and 30% off almost everything else. Got this cute little ornament for $5 and some gourmet flavoured coffee for $.50 each. Next year, I plan on going back and buying more because I didn’t realize they close so early otherwise I would have been back by now.

Anyways, I just thought I would share a few things I enjoyed throughout the month of November. 😊 I am hoping to do a 2018 favourites as well to share some of my tried and true products that I have not only used throughout the year, but actually buy refills of or that I use on a daily basis.
